Rose Garden Gorge

Hike from Imst center to Hoch-Imst

The gorge hike starts in the center of Imst, on the left side of the Johanneskirche (parking lot behind Gasthof Sonne). This short tour (approx. 1 hour) can be combined with the Alpine Coaster.

Return from Hoch-Imst via "Blaue Grotte" and then forest path to the center or by bus.

Tip: Check bus times on arrival in Hoch-Imst

Alpine Coaster

The longest alpine roller coaster in the world in Hoch-Imst

The Alpine Coaster (3.5 km long) can be combined with the Catinaccio Gorge. At the gondola valley station: playground for the little ones, bungee trampoline, Segways, e-trials for older kids.

Hiking tips: up to the start of the Alpine Coaster (walking time approx. 1 hr. 15 min.); hike to the Muttekopfhütte or Latschenhütte via Jägersteig at the top

Ötzi village

Time travel to the Stone Age

Find out all about the Iceman: How did Ötzi live, where did he live and how did he spend his everyday life? Free, exciting guided tours.

The bird of prey park is located right next to the Ötzi village. A visit to the nearby Stuiben Falls is also highly recommended.

Stuiben Falls

Tyrol's highest waterfall

Start at the Ötzi village parking lot (fee required). The trail leads over approx. 700 steps and a suspension bridge (80 m long, exposed) to the starting point of the waterfall. On sunny days, you can often marvel at a rainbow.

For the more athletic, a via ferrata (difficulty level C) leads right to the top.

Lake Piburg

Idyllic mountain lake

Lake Piburger See is one of the oldest nature reserves in Tyrol. A circular hiking trail leads around the lake, on the western shore it is barrier-free and suitable for baby carriages. On the eastern shore, the path leads over roots and rocks and encourages children to hike.

A visit to the mountain lake can be ideally combined with an excursion to Hoch-Oetz.

Tyrol's mystical gorge

The Zammer Lochputz is absolutely worth seeing and can be explored on a tour. Its highlights include: Suspension bridge, waterfall, viewing platform, "bull and nymph" secret place, water catchment, mirror cave, soldering tower and power station.

The alpine spa resort in the heart of the Ötztal presents itself with a large water and sauna world.

Float in the brine bowls and enjoy the mountain view. There are 12 indoor and outdoor pools with pleasant water temperatures. There are slides for children, and a large toddler area makes the family day perfect.

Leisure oasis for young and old

Fun and games in the indoor pool for families with children's area, outdoor pool and 3 slides: Toddler slide, Silverstar family slide and wild water slide (from 12 years alone, accompanied by an adult from 6 years). The sauna world offers relaxation on 2 floors with a panorama pool.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds

Swarovski visitors experience a sparkling, fantastic world. Be enchanted by art installations, chambers of wonder and the magnificent garden. The ideal year-round excursion destination for families. Children have fun in the play tower, the playground, the labyrinth and the "Carousel".

Alpine Zoo Innsbruck

One of the highest zoos in Europe

Here you can encounter golden eagles, lynxes, brown bears, bearded vultures, marmots and much more.

Tip: Combine a visit to the old town of Innsbruck with a visit to the Alpine Zoo: Combination ticket with Hungerburgbahn (available at the Hungerburgbahn valley station), start at Congress Innsbruck (show parking ticket when purchasing the combination ticket)

The perfect alpine-urban experience

The capital of Tyrol is famous for its old town surrounded by mountains, the Golden Roof and the Bergisel ski jump.

Tips: View over the city from the 360° bar in the Rathausgalerie in Maria-Theresien-Straße; sightseeing tour with the hop-on hop-off bus Sightseer

The Old Town tour can be combined with a visit to the Alpine Zoo.

Bouldering hall Steinblock

Uncompromising bouldering fun

A paradise for climbing freaks. In the Steinblock Imst bouldering hall, 750 square meters are available for climbing without a harness or rope. The level ranges from child-friendly to competitive.

The facilities include a toddler area, a children's bouldering room and a training area.

Pitztal Glacier

The glacier experience on the roof of Tyrol

The Pitztal Glacier is the highest glacier in Tyrol. A unique experience for the whole family. Skiing is possible from early fall with interesting price offers.

The spectacular Café 3440 at the summit offers coffee and cake specialties and a magnificent view of the Wildspitze and the surrounding mountains.

Travel time: 15 min.

Rifflsee

Mountain lake and hiking area in Tyrol

The Rifflsee cable car takes you up to an altitude of 2,300 m. The path around the spectacular mountain lake (2,232 m) is barrier-free and suitable for baby carriages and leads past ponies and sheep.
The path into the valley can also be covered on foot. The hike ends at the Rifflseebahn parking lot.

Tip: Rafting on Austria's highest natural mountain lake is a highlight
