At Hochzeiger Haus in the Tyrolean Pitztal valley, there are ideal conditions for alpine model flying. The take-off and landing site is right next to the house. Your hobby can therefore be perfectly combined with a summer vacation at the most beautiful high altitude.

High alpine flying directly on the Hochzeiger Haus
Flying at Hochzeiger Haus is possible from mid-May to the end of September. In addition to the take-off and landing area at the house, there is a spacious aircraft garage with a craft room and plenty of power sockets.
There is always enough space in the air. Model flying experts also appreciate the possibility of high alpine flying on the six-pointer (2,400 m).
The south-west slope right next to our house is ideal for beginners. All launch sites are free of trees and stones.

Important points when flying
At Hochzeiger Haus you can expect one thing above all: lots of flying fun with like-minded people.
There are a few important key points to bear in mind to ensure that the collegial cooperation on the model flying site is successful.
- Flying only at your own risk and with your own valid insurance cover (please sign the disclaimer Hochzeiger Haus at reception before flying)
- Internal combustion engines are not permitted for noise protection reasons; electric motors are welcome
- Attention hikers – we ask for consideration on the mountain
- Take-off, landing and fast flypasts must be announced loudly;
light models land parallel to the path on the hay meadow;
larger models preferably land uphill - You can install your own flitch on the hay meadow in consultation with the other pilots
- Model recommendation up to max. 5 m wingspan
- Models under 10 kg may fly up to 120 m above the pilot’s position and horizontally up to the limit of visibility
- Models over 10 kg and under 25 kg must ALWAYS remain 120 m above ground, i.e. MUST practice contour flight
Model flying at the summit of the Sechszeiger (2,370 meters)
And there’s even more: you can take the chairlift to the summit of the Sechszeiger (2,370 m). High-alpine flying in all directions is possible there.
Landings are only made in a westerly direction (start of ski slope, almost stone-free).
MFI Hang Flight Weeks

After a year’s break, the MFI Hang Flight Week finally took place again at Hochzeiger Haus from 18.09. to 24.09.2021.

The popular MFI Hochzeigerhaus Hangflugwoche took place from 30.06. – 06.07.2019 and was once again a complete success.

The 2nd MFI/Hochzeiger Haus Hang Flight Week was once again a great success.
From 09 to 16 September 2018, the Hochzeiger once again belonged to aviators and their friends. One of the highlights was of course the fantastic raffle.

The 1st MFI/Hochzeiger Haus Hang Flight Week is over. What a pity! Why? It went by too quickly. The Hang Flying Week was a huge success thanks to the excellent organization of MFI, the good weather, the complete utilization/participation and of course thanks to the companies that actively sponsored the week (MFI, Valenta Model, Robbe Modellsport/Aviotiger, MVVS, aero-naut, Multiplex, Teichner Modellbau, HP Textiles, KD Flugmodellbau and others). The raffle was certainly one of the highlights of the event with its many prizes.
