The Rosengartenschlucht starts directly in the center of Imst to the left of the Johanneskirche (parking lot behind Gasthof Sonne).
Exciting hike (approx. 1 hour), can be combined with the Alpine Coaster.
Return from Hoch-Imst via "Blaue Grotte" and then forest path to the center or by bus.
Tip: Check bus times on arrival in Hoch-Imst - doesn't run that often!
Travel time: 40 min.
3.5 km long - also known from KIKA live.
At the valley station of the new gondola lift there's a playground for the little ones as well as a bungee trampoline, Segways and e-trials for the slightly older kids.
Hiking tips: up to the start of the Alpine Coaster (walking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes) or hike up to the Muttekopfhütte or Latschenhütte via Jägersteig.
The Alpine Coaster can be perfectly combined with a hike through the Rosengarten Gorge.
Travel time: 20 min.
A short journey back in time to the Stone Age. How did Ötzi live, how did he live and how did he spend his everyday life? We particularly recommend the free, exciting guided tours. The bird of prey park is right next to the Ötzi village ! It's also worth visiting the Stuibenfall - Tyrol's highest waterfall, which is not far away.
Travel time: 60 minutes
Via approx. 700 steps and an exposed, 80-metre-long suspension bridge, hikers and mountain sports enthusiasts reach the starting point of Tyrol's highest waterfall, passing viewing platforms and the thundering masses of water. On sunny days, a large rainbow often provides a colorful highlight that no visitor will soon forget.
For the more athletic, a via ferrata of difficulty level C leads right to the top.
The starting point is the parking lot (chargeable) at Ötzi Dorf.
Travel time: 60 minutes
Lake Piburger See is an absolutely idyllic mountain lake that is one of the oldest nature reserves in Tyrol. A circular hiking trail leads around the lake, the path on the western shore is barrier-free and therefore suitable for baby carriages, while the path on the eastern shore leads over roots and rocks, encouraging children to hike. Can be ideally combined with an excursion to Hoch-Oetz.
Travel time: 50 minutes
Golden eagles, lynxes, brown bears, bearded vultures, marmots etc. are at home here.
Tip:
Combination ticket with Hungerburgbahn available at the Hungerburgbahn valley station - start at Congress Innsbruck. This allows you to visit Innsbruck Old Town and the Alpine Zoo.
(Show your parking ticket when buying the combined ticket!)
Travel time: 1 hour 15 min.
The small, fine capital of Tyrol is famous for the Golden Roof, the Bergisel ski jump and the old town surrounded by mountains.
Tip: visit the 360Grad Bar in the Rathausgalerie in Maria-Theresien-Straße. From up there you have a wonderful view over the city or take a tour with the hop-on hop-off bus and get to know the Tyrolean capital better.
The old town of Innsbruck can also be ideally combined with a visit to the Alpine Zoo.
Travel time: 1 hour 10 min.
Bouldering is climbing without a climbing rope and harness at jump height and is becoming increasingly popular.
750 square meters, from child-friendly to competition-ready, are at your disposal in the Steinblock bouldering hall.
A separate toddler area, a children's bouldering room and a training area round off the offer.
Travel time: 40 min.
